Arturo Colorado Castellary is Professor Emeritus of Art and Communication at the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). His research interests include: Art and image technologies, Digital management and dissemination of heritage, and Heritage and war. He was co-director of the research group “Museum R&D&C. Laboratory of digital culture and hypermedia museography.” He was Principal Investigator 1 of the R&D Project of Excellence: “Historical research and accessible digital representation. Artistic heritage during the Civil War and the post-war period.” He is the author of, among other works, the book *Visual Hyperculture. The Hypermedia Challenge in Art and Education* (Complutense University Press, 1997). Exodus and Exile of Art: The Odyssey of the Prado Museum during the Civil War (Cátedra, 2008), From Rock Art to Digital Art (Síntesis, 2013), Art, Revenge and Propaganda: The Francoist Instrumentalization of Heritage during the Second World War (Cátedra, 2018), The Multiple Gaze: Image and Technology in Modern Art (Ed. Complutense, 2019), and Art, Spoils of War: Plunder and Diaspora in the Francoist Post-War Period (Cátedra, 2021).
